Qatar Denies Direct Link Between Lebanon and Gaza Truce Talks

On Thursday, Qatar, which has been facilitating negotiations in the Gaza conflict, clarified that there is no direct connection between the ceasefire discussions in Gaza and the international efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire between Hezbollah in Lebanon and Israel. However, the Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson, Majed al-Ansari, acknowledged to journalists that there is a considerable overlap in the mediation processes, given that the same key players are involved in both situations.
