On Thursday, Hezbollah launched attacks on a command center in Kiryat Shmona and soldiers stationed in a house within the Yuval settlement in northern Israel. Following these incidents, Hezbollah also attacked two Israeli military posts in the Shebaa Farms area and targeted surveillance equipment at the Berkat Risha post. In response to these actions, the Israeli military conducted artillery strikes on the Hamames hill and the outskirts of Aita al-Shaab and Rashayya al-Fokhar, and Israeli warplanes carried out bombings in al-Khiam, Kfarkila, and Maroun al-Rass.
In the southern Lebanese town of Majdal Zoun, a funeral was held for two civilians who died as a result of an Israeli airstrike on Wednesday. Among the deceased was six-year-old Amal al-Durr. The same strike resulted in the death of another woman and left her daughter in critical condition. In retaliation for this attack, Hezbollah fired several rockets towards the Matzuva settlement located in northern Israel.
Hezbollah has also claimed responsibility for a dozen attacks on Israeli military sites along the border on Wednesday. Since the onset of cross-border hostilities in October, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 271 individuals on the Lebanese side, including Hezbollah fighters and 42 civilians, as per AFP reports. Meanwhile, Israel has reported the deaths of 10 soldiers and six civilians.
