A U.S. military official has confirmed the execution of a strike in Iraq, categorizing it as an act of self-defense

A U.S. military representative confirmed that a “self-defense strike” targeted a drone launch site in northern Iraq. This action followed an airstrike that resulted in the death of five militants aligned with Iran.

The official, who spoke under the condition of anonymity, stated that the strike was aimed at a location near Kirkuk. It was conducted in response to what was perceived as an immediate threat.
