SSNP Ambulance Set Ablaze in Bayssour After Jdita Incident

An ambulance owned by the Syrian Social Nationalist Party was set on fire in the town of Bayssour, Aley district, just a day after an incident where assailants shot at the party’s office in Jdita, Bekaa, and displayed a Lebanese Forces flag there.

The Progressive Socialist Party, along with other political groups, expressed their disapproval of the violence in Bayssour and highlighted the risk of escalating conflicts in Lebanon following the assassination of Lebanese Forces official Pascal Sleiman in Jbeil district.

While the SSNP accused the Lebanese Forces of being behind the attack in Jdita, the LF denied any involvement and openly condemned the violence.

The LF released a statement emphasizing that their political strategy does not include the use of arms, and declared their strong opposition to any form of armed engagement, stressing the collective responsibility to resist the spread of discord across different regions of Lebanon.
