Israeli artillery recently targeted areas around Kfarshouba, al-Dhayra, Tayr Harfa, and al-Naqoura, while Israeli warplanes attacked Maroun al-Rass in southern Lebanon. The Israeli military stated these actions were in response to missiles launched from Lebanon towards the Shlomi settlement, targeting Hezbollah infrastructure.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for targeting Israeli soldiers at the Zar’it barracks, stating it inflicted casualties. On Monday, missiles from Lebanon injured five Israeli soldiers in the Western Galilee, with Hezbollah stating it targeted the Hadb al-Bustan post and soldiers in Ya’ara.
Since the onset of the Israel-Hamas conflict on October 7, there have been increasing instances of cross-border fire between the Israeli army and Hezbollah. More than 160 people have been killed on the Lebanese side, primarily Hezbollah combatants, but the death toll includes over 20 civilians and three journalists.
Hezbollah has been conducting daily attacks against Israeli military personnel and positions, stating its actions are in solidarity with Gaza. On the Israeli side, the military reports that at least five civilians and nine soldiers have been killed.
