On Sunday, Israeli forces conducted airstrikes and artillery bombardments on multiple towns along the southern border of Lebanon, while Hezbollah declared it had launched an attack on Israeli soldiers.
The Israeli airstrikes were directed at Marwahin, Aita al-Shaab, and Aitaroun, with a drone strike hitting Aita al-Shaab specifically. A previous strike had already set a residence in Aitaroun ablaze on Saturday, and this attack resulted in further damage, as reported by the National News Agency.
Additionally, Israeli artillery targeted the space between Aitaroun and Maroun al-Ras and launched two shells across the Marjeyoun plain, intimidating local farmers and shepherds.
In response to these military actions, Hezbollah stated that it had orchestrated an overnight assault on an Israeli military assembly located opposite the Lebanese sector of al-Wazzani, claiming to have achieved precise impacts.
