The lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s former partner, has brought to light a number of high-profile names in newly released court documents. These documents, pertaining to Virginia Giuffre’s case, reveal Epstein’s connections with a range of celebrities, including former U.S. presidents, foreign dignitaries, and notable Hollywood stars, such as Britain’s Prince Andrew.
While some of these names had previously emerged through other channels and were kept out of the public domain in the lawsuit, many mentioned in the court papers have not been implicated in any misconduct.
Giuffre, along with another alleged victim of Epstein, Johanna Sjoberg, mentioned several celebrities in their court depositions. A summary of these mentions includes:
– Naomi Campbell: In her May 3, 2016 deposition, Giuffre talked about traveling with Maxwell and Epstein to various countries, including France. She recalled attending supermodel Naomi Campbell’s birthday party during a trip to Southern France, where she claimed to have had sexual contact with Maxwell, but not at the party. Campbell, in 2019, acknowledged knowing Epstein, having met him through her former boyfriend Flavio Briatore.
– Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Bruce Willis, and Cameron Diaz: These celebrities were mentioned by Johanna Sjoberg during her deposition. She referred to them mostly in passing and clarified that Epstein was “name-dropping” these individuals. Sjoberg confirmed she had not met any of them. When asked specifically about Cameron Diaz, she responded with a “No.”
– George Lucas: The Star Wars creator was mentioned once in the documents. Sjoberg denied having met Lucas, and there was no indication of any inappropriate conduct.
– Michael Jackson: Sjoberg confirmed meeting the late pop star at Epstein’s Palm Beach home but stated she had not messaged him.
– Kevin Spacey: Spacey’s name also appears in the documents, but Sjoberg denied meeting the actor. Spacey was previously mentioned by Epstein’s former pilot, Lawrence Paul Visoski Jr., during Maxwell’s sex trafficking trial in 2021, where he claimed that Spacey had flown in one of Epstein’s planes. There has been no response from Spacey or his representative regarding this claim.
