On Sunday, an Israeli drone strike targeted a motorcycle in the border town of Naqoura, reportedly killing at least one person.
In response, Hezbollah announced that it attacked the Israeli al-Abbad post, destroying its technical equipment. They also stated that they heavily shelled the Israeli post at Jal al-Alam in retaliation for the assassination in Naqoura, claiming to have inflicted casualties and certain losses.
Hezbollah has been engaged in near-daily cross-border exchanges of fire with the Israeli army since the unprecedented October 7 attack by Hamas triggered the conflict in Gaza.
According to an AFP tally, at least 429 people have been killed in Lebanon, predominantly militants, but also including at least 82 civilians. In Israel, the army reports that these exchanges have resulted in the deaths of at least 11 civilians and 14 soldiers.
