France has suggested that Israel and Lebanon conduct indirect negotiations in Paris to seek a diplomatic resolution to their ongoing border dispute, according to Israel’s Channel 13. France is ready to host these discussions, aiming to cease hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah and facilitate the return of displaced residents from both sides of the border. Israel has accepted this proposal, with a senior French official emphasizing France’s commitment to continue its role as a mediator by organizing these talks.
Israel’s Kan TV added that Israel is open to discussing border modifications as part of emerging agreements to avert a conflict with Hezbollah. Additionally, Al-Arabiya’s Al-Hadath channel reported that in discussions with French and American representatives, Israel has consented to a Hezbollah withdrawal to 10 kilometers from the border, a reduction from the initially proposed 20 kilometers.
