U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein is expected to arrive in the region with a clear message: “Avoid escalation” with Hezbollah, according to a report by Israel’s Channel 12.
The report states that Hochstein will deliver a U.S. request to Israeli political leaders, urging them not to take any aggressive actions in the north, as such a move could be “very costly.”
Channel 12 also mentioned that Hochstein will work towards securing a settlement in the north, but highlighted that this effort is complicated by its connection to achieving a ceasefire in Gaza.
