On Friday, Hezbollah militants launched attacks on several Israeli border positions. The group claimed to have struck the Hadb Yaroun post twice and targeted a crane equipped with surveillance gear at the Dovev Farms, resulting in casualties.
Hezbollah had previously accused Israel of hacking into CCTV cameras in southern Lebanon. This accusation followed Hezbollah’s offensive actions that had disabled most of Israel’s cameras near the border.
Since October 8, Lebanon has witnessed over 1,700 rockets fired towards Israel, resulting in the deaths of 15 Israelis, including nine soldiers, and injuries to more than 150 people.
In response, Israel has relocated approximately 60,000 residents from over 40 northern communities, including Kiryat Shmona, a major city.
On the Lebanese side, the conflict has caused the displacement of about 74,500 individuals, as reported by the International Organization for Migration.
Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire have led to nearly 160 deaths in Lebanon. While most casualties were fighters from Hezbollah and its allied factions, at least 19 civilians, including children and journalists, have also lost their lives.
