Gemayel Criticizes Hezbollah, Claims Lebanon’s Fate Hinges on Sinwar and Netanyahu

Kataeb leader Sami Gemayel has criticized Hezbollah for placing Lebanon in a precarious position due to the actions of Hamas and Israel, as well as attempting to influence the presidential situation.

In a televised interview on Tuesday night, Gemayel asserted that Hezbollah’s attempts to dominate the presidential file have been thwarted by the opposition, which includes the Free Patriotic Movement.

Gemayel expressed his willingness to seek a compromise, provided it serves Lebanon’s interests.

He also condemned Hezbollah for instigating a conflict with Israel amidst Lebanon’s ongoing crisis. He argued that Hezbollah prioritizes Iran’s influence and the resistance coalition over Lebanon’s welfare.

Gemayel further remarked that the southern front has had no impact on the Gaza conflict, stating, “This front has no meaning at all.”

He accused Hezbollah of placing Lebanon’s fate in the hands of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying, “Hezbollah has leased Lebanon to Sinwar and Netanyahu, and now our fate depends on these two men.”
