Gemayel Calls Out Nasrallah: End the Gaza Support Front Farce

In a recent statement, Sami Gemayel, the leader of the Kataeb Party, expressed grave concerns over the escalating violence in southern Lebanon, likening the situation to the turmoil experienced in Gaza. While extending his sympathies to the families of civilians and emergency responders who have fallen victim to Israeli air strikes in recent days, Gemayel criticized the actions as indiscriminate and accused them of targeting innocent and defenseless individuals.

In a message shared on the X platform, Gemayel directly addressed Hezbollah’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, urging him to cease what he referred to as a “farce” of support and distraction tactics with Israel, which he believes are only leading to further destruction in Lebanon’s south.

This outcry comes in the wake of Hezbollah’s decision to activate the southern Lebanese front against Israel on October 8, a move made in solidarity with Palestinians and the Hamas Movement following their significant attack on southern Israel, sparking a severe conflict.

Since then, the region has witnessed almost daily confrontations between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, culminating in the death of at least 346 individuals in Lebanon, including over 60 civilians, with the majority being members of Hezbollah. The ongoing conflict has also forced tens of thousands to flee their homes due to the violence in both southern Lebanon and northern Israel, with Israel signaling the possibility of a military offensive aimed at driving Hezbollah away from the border.
