Drone Strike on Shaqra Kills at Least One

On Tuesday, an Israeli drone strike targeted a pickup truck in the southern town of Shaqra near the border, resulting in at least one fatality and injuring another individual, according to local media reports.

Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier over Beirut and several other areas, including Khaldeh, al-Hadath, Aramoun, Damour, Jiyeh, Jezzine, and Keserwan.

On Monday, Hezbollah executed seven attacks on Israeli positions and settlements, including a suicide drone strike on al-Malkia and targeting the Tzuriel settlement in northern Israel. This was in retaliation for an Israeli strike on a family in Hanine, southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah had previously vowed to target new locations in Israel if Lebanese civilians were harmed.

Overnight, Israeli warplanes also raided the southern border town of Aita al-Shaab, and flare bombs were deployed in villages along the border.

Since the conflict began on October 7, following Hamas’s attack on southern Israel, Hezbollah has engaged in almost daily cross-border exchanges with Israeli forces in support of Hamas.

According to an AFP tally, the violence has resulted in the deaths of at least 518 people in Lebanon, the majority being fighters, with at least 104 civilians also killed. On the Israeli side, the conflict has claimed the lives of 18 soldiers and 13 civilians.
