Millionaire Bryan Johnson Claims 70% Reversal of Hair Loss and Greying

Multi-millionaire Bryan Johnson, known for his efforts to reverse aging, recently shared how he managed to combat baldness, achieving a fuller head of hair in under a year. Johnson, 47, who was “genetically predisposed” to baldness, says he restored his hair with fewer gray strands—an impressive result of specific nutritional, topical, and light-based treatments.

In a recent post on X, Johnson showcased his progress and encouraged men to take preventive steps for hair maintenance, especially noting that many men don’t notice hair thinning until they’ve lost about 50 percent.

To tackle hair loss, Johnson said he focused on key vitamins, including protein and Omega-3s, which are known to support hair health. Additionally, he used a customized topical solution tailored to his genetic profile, containing ingredients like melatonin, caffeine, and Vitamin D3.

Johnson, who is based in Utah, also incorporated red light therapy into his routine and wore a cap throughout the day to maintain consistency in treatment. As a final measure, he used oral minoxidil at a low dose—a hair loss medication he warns can cause unwanted side effects if taken at higher levels, such as headaches or excess hair growth.

His hair loss update followed recent news of another experimental treatment—a “total plasma” exchange, aimed at removing toxins from his body. In this process, Johnson’s plasma was replaced with albumin, a protein known to aid in tissue repair and growth. Johnson shared that the operator conducting the procedure remarked on the exceptional cleanliness of his plasma, the cleanest he’d seen in nearly a decade.

Johnson, who previously sold his company Braintree Venmo to PayPal for $800 million in 2013, continues to explore ways to optimize health and reverse aging.
