Yemen rebels threaten escalation after US-UK strikes

On Friday, Yemen’s Houthi rebels issued a threat to intensify attacks on shipping following overnight strikes by the United States and Britain, which Houthi media reported had resulted in 16 fatalities.

“The American-British aggression will not deter us from continuing our military operations in support of Palestine,” stated Houthi official Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti on the social media platform X. He added that the rebels would “respond to escalation with escalation.”
