Xi and Putin advocate ‘political solution’ for Ukraine conflict

On Thursday, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin concurred on the necessity of pursuing a “political solution” to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. This announcement followed a meeting between the two leaders in Beijing.

“Both parties agree that a political solution to the Ukraine crisis is the right course of action,” Xi declared during a joint press conference with Putin, which was broadcast on Russian television.
