According to a report by al-Liwaa newspaper on Monday, there are indications that discussions to conclude the ongoing war in Gaza are set to begin towards the end of this week. The report suggests a potential resolution that would encompass a phased release of prisoners and a ceasefire lasting between 60 to 70 days. During this ceasefire, political efforts geared towards the establishment of a Palestinian state would commence.
The newspaper also noted that this development is likely to coincide with several Arab nations normalizing their ties with Israel. These key elements of the negotiation strategy reportedly took shape during the recent visit of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Israel and the surrounding region.
Additionally, al-Liwaa mentioned the initiation of a joint Franco-American strategy addressing the situation in Southern Lebanon and related presidential matters.
