UN Agencies Call for Increased Funding to Meet Growing Lebanon Needs

Two United Nations agencies issued a joint appeal on Tuesday, requesting additional funding to meet the growing needs in Lebanon, where the ongoing conflict with Israel has displaced hundreds of thousands of people.

In their statement, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Ted Chaiban and World Food Programme Deputy Executive Director Carl Skau emphasized that “the needs are increasing,” and stressed the urgency of securing “additional funding, without conditionalities,” to address the escalating humanitarian situation.
