Trump Urges Iran to Make a Deal Before It’s Too Late

Trump Urges Iran to Return to Talks Following Israeli Strikes

U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Iran to reengage in diplomatic negotiations, warning of further conflict following a series of Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear installations. The remarks were posted on Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, as regional tensions intensified in the wake of the attacks.

In his message, Trump emphasized that he had previously provided Iran with multiple opportunities to reach a deal. He stated that the recent events have already resulted in considerable loss of life and property damage, and cautioned that the next round of planned strikes could prove even more destructive. Trump urged Tehran to seek a resolution swiftly, indicating that a peaceful settlement was still possible but time was limited.

The Israeli operation on Friday targeted over 100 sites in Iran, including nuclear facilities and military installations. Among those reported killed were senior Iranian military leaders and scientists linked to the country’s nuclear development program. Iranian authorities have labeled the air campaign a direct act of war.

Trump, who has closely aligned U.S. policy with Israel since reassuming office, reiterated Washington’s strong defense ties with Tel Aviv. He noted that Israel possesses a significant cache of American-supplied weapons and is proficient in their deployment.

In an earlier interview with Fox News, Trump disclosed that he had advance knowledge of the Israeli military action but confirmed that the United States did not participate in the strikes. He further stressed that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons remains a central objective. He added that the U.S. was exploring pathways to return to the negotiating table and had already communicated with a regional ally prior to the operation.

Fox News also reported that the Trump administration had reassured Middle Eastern partners of America’s readiness to respond if Iran retaliates against U.S. or Israeli interests. Trump stated that the United States stood prepared to defend itself and Israel in the event of escalation.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio also addressed the situation, making clear that the U.S. had no involvement in the strikes on Iranian territory. Rubio reiterated that the safety of American personnel and interests across the region remained the government’s highest priority. He warned Tehran against initiating attacks on U.S. targets.

President Trump is scheduled to convene with his national security team in a Friday morning meeting of the National Security Council to assess developments and coordinate policy responses amid rising regional instability.
