Taylor Swift, Blake Lively, and Celebs Rally with Donations for Hurricane Relief

As the United States continues to recover from the devastating effects of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, several prominent celebrities have stepped up to offer aid. Among those contributing to relief efforts are Taylor Swift, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Tom Brady, and Dolly Parton.

On Wednesday, Feeding America expressed its gratitude to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to support hurricane-impacted communities. Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, the CEO of Feeding America, said, โ€œWe are deeply thankful to Taylor Swift for her remarkable $5 million donation to help with the recovery from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. This donation will provide essential resources like food, clean water, and supplies, helping communities rebuild after these devastating storms. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in supporting families as they face these difficult times. Thank you, Taylor, for your commitment to ending hunger and standing by those in need.โ€

Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, also contributed $1 million to Feeding Americaโ€™s relief efforts. Babineaux-Fontenot acknowledged their support, stating, โ€œTheir continued generosity during times of crisis has been crucial to our networkโ€™s ability to respond before, during, and after disasters. This donation will help food banks deliver necessities such as water, ready-to-eat meals, and supplies to communities enduring severe loss and a long road to recovery.โ€

Since Hurricane Helene made landfall, Feeding America has delivered more than 140 truckloads of food, water, and other essential supplies to 11 food banks across the affected areas.

NFL star Tom Brady also joined the relief efforts, donating $100,000, which was matched by Give with Gopuff. Brady encouraged others to โ€œkeep those affected by these storms in your prayersโ€ and to continue supporting their neighbors during these challenging times.

Last week, country music legend Dolly Parton donated $1 million to Mountain Ways, an organization providing immediate relief to East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and the Appalachian regions. Her contribution was matched by her Dollywood Foundation, along with support from local businesses.

Hurricane Milton, which struck Florida on Wednesday, has claimed at least 13 lives and left 3 million people without power. Florida is also still recovering from the impact of Hurricane Helene, which caused five deaths in the state and over 200 in other regions.
