Responses to US, UK Air Strikes Resulting in 5 Deaths, 6 Injuries in Yemen

Air strikes conducted by the United States and the United Kingdom in Yemen, an area under the control of rebels, resulted in the death of five individuals and injured six others, as reported by the Houthi forces, which are supported by Iran, on Friday.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated on X that the strikes caused the deaths of five members of their armed forces, referring to them as “martyrs,” and injured six others.

In response to the situation, France blamed the Houthis for escalating the conflict. China urged all involved parties to prevent further expansion of the conflict. Meanwhile, Iran, Russia, and Hezbollah strongly criticized the air strikes.

Saudi Arabia expressed significant concern over the air strikes and emphasized the importance of exercising self-restraint to avoid escalating the situation further.

Despite these strikes, the Houthi rebels have declared their intention to continue targeting ships connected to Israel in the Red Sea.
