Lebanese authorities have reportedly received a warning about alleged plans by the Israeli Mossad to assassinate Palestinian officials in Lebanon. The targets are said to include senior figures from the terrorist organization, such as Saleh al-Arouri and Osama Hamdan, along with Islamic Jihad leader Ziad al-Nakhalah. Diplomatic sources revealed that these threats are considered serious and call for exceptional security measures.
Additionally, it was noted that French intelligence chief Bernard Emie had hinted at such a scenario during his recent visit to Beirut. Notably, there has been a change in French intelligence leadership, with Nicolas Lerner replacing Emie, leading to speculation about the timing of this shift in leadership in relation to the leaks regarding the threats.
