Ramia Under Heavy Fire as Border Tensions Escalate

Mohammed Raad, the leader of Hezbollah’s parliamentary bloc, stated on Friday that Israel is not prepared for a conflict with Lebanon, emphasizing that Hezbollah would engage with full force. This statement comes amid a period of increasing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, marked by a series of cross-border exchanges. Despite the growing hostilities, it is believed that neither side desires a full-scale war, which would likely cause extensive damage to both nations.

Recently, Israeli forces conducted two airstrikes in the area between Kfarkila and Odaisseh, along with 12 airstrikes on the outskirts of Ramia, a southern border town. Additionally, drones targeted a region near al-Tiri and Beit Yahoun.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant casualties in Lebanon. According to an AFP report, over 190 people have died in the past three months, including more than 140 Hezbollah fighters and over 20 civilians, among whom were three journalists. In northern Israel, the death toll includes nine soldiers and six civilians, as reported by Israeli authorities.

Hezbollah’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, also addressed the situation in a recent speech. He declared that if Israel were to initiate a war with Lebanon, Hezbollah would engage in the conflict without any limitations.
