Qatar warns Rafah strikes could hinder Gaza truce talks

Israel’s recent airstrikes near Rafah in southern Gaza may obstruct efforts to negotiate a truce and a hostage release deal, mediator nation Qatar announced on Monday.

The Qatari foreign ministry expressed “concern that the bombings could complicate ongoing mediation efforts and impede the achievement of an immediate and permanent ceasefire agreement.”
