Iranian Embassy Condemns the Attack

Following the strike, the Iranian embassy in Lebanon condemned what it called โ€œIsraeli madnessโ€ after the assault on Hezbollahโ€™s stronghold in southern Beirut. The embassy stated, โ€œWe strongly condemn the Israeli madness and arrogance that has gone beyond all limits by targeting residential areas in Beirutโ€™s southern suburbs.โ€

Hamas Labels the Strike a โ€˜Brutal Escalationโ€™

Hamas also condemned the Israeli strike, calling it a โ€œbrutalโ€ escalation. The groupโ€™s statement denounced the attack, saying, โ€œWe condemn the brutal and terrorist aggression launched by the Zionist enemyโ€™s military on the southern suburb of Beirut,โ€ referring to the incident as an escalation of Israeli aggression.

United Nations Expresses Concern and Calls for Restraint

The United Nations expressed deep concern over the heightened tensions following the Israeli strikes in Beirut. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterresโ€™ spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, urged all parties to show โ€œmaximum restraintโ€ and called for immediate de-escalation, stating, โ€œWe are very concerned about the intensified escalationโ€ฆ including todayโ€™s deadly strikes in Beirut.โ€
