Newcastle vs Chelsea Prediction: 30/10/2024

Newcastle, while progressing in the League Cup, hasn’t shown dominance in their first two matches, narrowly advancing past Nottingham Forest after a 1-1 draw and penalty shootout and defeating Wimbledon 1-0. In the league, the Magpies have displayed inconsistent form; despite an unbeaten start in their first four games, they went three matches without a win just before the international break, with two draws and one loss.

Recently, they faced Brighton and Chelsea in consecutive league fixtures. Chelsea, having placed sixth in the Premier League last season, only needed one League Cup match to advance, where they convincingly defeated Barrow 5-0.

This season, Chelsea aims to reestablish themselves as league contenders. Following a 0-2 loss to Manchester City on opening day, Enzo Maresca’s side went on a six-game unbeaten streak, recording four wins and two draws.
