New John Wick Series in the Works: Will Keanu Reeves Return?

John Wick has found new life with the release of “John Wick: Chapter 4,” opening doors for further character development and spinoffs. Directed by Chad Stahelski, this latest installment has led to plans for a new sequel series titled “John Wick: Under the High Table.”

 

What’s the New Sequel Series About?

“John Wick: Under the High Table” will pick up after the events of Chapter 4. The official synopsis reveals: “John Wick has left the world of the High Table in a precarious state, and a collection of new characters will try to make a name for themselves while some familiar faces remain loyal to the old ways.” The series aims to “combine new and old elements, pushing the Wick universe into a new era.”

Robert Levine will write and direct the series, also serving as an executive producer alongside Keanu Reeves, Chad Stahelski, and Thunder Road Films. Notably, Stahelski is expected to direct the pilot episode.

 

What’s Missing?

Unfortunately, Keanu Reeves will not be acting in the series, but he will be actively involved in its creation.

 

Expanding the John Wick Universe

“John Wick: Under the High Table” will be the franchise’s second series, following “The Continental: From the World of John Wick,” which is available on Prime Video.

 

What’s Next for John Wick Fans?

Fans can look forward to a fifth installment of the franchise, with Keanu Reeves reprising his iconic role and Chad Stahelski directing. Additionally, there is “Ballerina,” featuring Ana de Armas, set between the third and fourth films, slated for release on June 6, 2025.

Another project in development centers on Donnie Yen’s character, Caine, introduced in “John Wick: Chapter 4.” This spinoff will continue Caine’s story arc, following his release from obligations to the High Table.
