Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reiterating his previous warnings to Hezbollah following the recent ceasefire with Hamas, cautioned the Iran-backed Lebanese group about the severe consequences of initiating a major war against Israel.
Netanyahu emphasized Israel’s ongoing actions in the north to counter Hezbollah’s efforts, including neutralizing terror cells, securing the border, and destroying ammunition. He expressed a commitment to maintaining strong deterrence in the north while seeking total victory in the south.
The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of restoring security in both the northern and southern regions. He issued a stark warning to Hezbollah, stating that if they make the error of engaging in a widespread conflict, it would result in Lebanon’s self-inflicted destruction.
Since the end of the Gaza ceasefire, there has been a resurgence of daily skirmishes between Hezbollah and Israel. These conflicts have resulted in the deaths of three Hezbollah members and a civilian in southern Lebanon, increasing Lebanon’s death toll to over 100 since the skirmishes began on October 8.
