Netanyahu Warns Israel Is Fighting on Seven Fronts

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that, almost a year following the Hamas attacks, Israel is currently engaged in conflicts across seven different fronts. In a recent video address, he outlined the various adversaries Israel is confronting, including Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen, militant groups in both the West Bank and the Shiite militias operating in Iraq and Syria, and Iran itself. Netanyahu highlighted Iran’s recent action of launching over 200 ballistic missiles directly at Israel, accusing it of orchestrating the multi-front offensive.

Netanyahu emphasized Israel’s ongoing efforts to alter the strategic dynamics in the north with Lebanon, noting that Israel has conducted close to 9,000 strikes there since October 8, in response to around 1,500 attacks from Hezbollah, according to data from ACLED.

He also defended Israel’s actions in Gaza, citing the right to self-defense, and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to rescuing 101 hostages. He criticized French President Emmanuel Macron and other leaders who have called for arms embargoes against Israel, asserting that Israel will persist in its fight for national security and global peace. The conflict has been severe, with over 1,400 people killed by Israeli strikes in Lebanon in the past month and nearly 7,500 injured, as reported by Lebanon’s health ministry.
