Netanyahu Says Israeli Team Headed for Gaza Truce Talks

Israel has announced the dispatch of a delegation to Qatar to engage in negotiations aimed at establishing a ceasefire in Gaza and securing the release of hostages. Hamas has indicated a willingness to engage in talks based on the U.S.-sponsored ceasefire plan but has requested modifications, including assurances for a permanent cessation of hostilities, a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid. Israel, while open to negotiations, maintains that any agreement must ensure the disarmament of Hamas and the return of hostages without compromising its security interests.(
