German airline Lufthansa is set to restart flights to Tel Aviv later this week. The company announced on Tuesday that flights to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport will resume on Thursday.
However, flights to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, will stay suspended until September 30 for all airlines in the Lufthansa Group, which includes Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings.
Flights to Amman in Jordan and Erbil in Iraq resumed on August 27. Lufthansa had initially canceled its flights at the start of last month due to increasing tensions in the region.
