Lebanon Aid Conference Secures $1 Billion

At a conference held in Paris on Thursday focused on providing aid to crisis-hit Lebanon, approximately $800 million was raised for humanitarian support, alongside an additional $200 million earmarked for the countryโ€™s armed forces, according to French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot.

โ€œWe have met the challenge,โ€ Barrot stated at the conferenceโ€™s conclusion. However, he emphasized that โ€œwe cannot limit ourselves to humanitarian and security measures aloneโ€ฆ a diplomatic solution is essential,โ€ as tensions between Israel and Hezbollah persist.
