In recent court filings related to their divorce proceedings, Jeannie Mai Jenkins has leveled serious allegations against her estranged husband, rapper Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins. Jeannie claims that Jeezy was physically abusive towards her, which included instances of domestic violence and child endangerment.
According to documents cited by People magazine, Jeannie described Jeezy’s behavior as marked by “explosive outbursts, excessive drinking, and physical aggression.” She detailed a specific assault where Jeezy allegedly hit her with “a closed fist across her cheekbone and eye,” resulting in a subconjunctival hemorrhage. During this attack, he reportedly insulted her and expressed a desire to divorce her once they returned from their trip.
Another reported incident at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco involved Jeezy allegedly choking Jeannie from behind as she ascended a staircase and then pushing her down the stairs, with hotel staff eventually intervening to protect her.
Additionally, at the UNCF 39th Atlanta Mayor’s Masked Ball, Jeannie claims Jeezy lost his temper and grabbed her by the neckline of her dress so forcefully that it tore and left scratches on her chest.
Jeannie also raised concerns about the safety of their two-year-old daughter, Monaco. She recounted an alarming incident in October 2023, where she found Monaco dangerously close to Jeezy’s AK-47 rifle.
In response to these accusations, Jeezy issued a statement on his Instagram, vehemently denying the allegations. He described them as “not only false but also deeply disturbing,” especially given that they come from someone he once loved. Jeezy criticized the claims as a “malicious attempt to tarnish [his] character” and disrupt his family life, asserting his focus is on being a responsible father and securing joint custody of their daughter through the courts. He expressed confidence that the truth would come out through legal proceedings.
