On Sunday, Israeli aircraft launched an attack on the Abou al-Laban area in Aita al-Shaab, a town along the southern border, according to reports from the National News Agency.
Additionally, the assault included airstrikes on two residential properties in the southern town of Yaroun, which fortunately did not result in any injuries, as per NNA reports.
Concurrently, Israeli forces conducted artillery bombardments targeting the Beit Leef valley.
The Israeli military announced that its operations in Yaroun were directed against “Hezbollah infrastructure,” aiming to neutralize threats. This included artillery fire targeting Alma al-Shaab and Dhayra areas.
The day prior, Hezbollah had launched attacks on six Israeli positions in northern Israel and the Shebaa Farms, which Israel occupies.
This ongoing exchange of fire between Hezbollah and Israel has persisted daily since the onset of the Israel-Hamas conflict on October 7.
These confrontations have led to at least 268 fatalities on the Lebanese side, including both Hezbollah fighters and 40 civilians. Meanwhile, on the Israeli side, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of 10 soldiers and six civilians, as reported by the Israeli military.
The conflict has also caused the displacement of tens of thousands of people on both sides of the border. Amidst these tensions, Israel has issued warnings that it might employ force against Hezbollah to ensure the safety and return of its citizens, while indirect talks seek a political resolution to the situation.
