Israeli Military Reports 20 Projectiles Fired from Lebanon into Israel

The Israeli military reported that after sirens alerted the northern regions of Haifa and Galilee, nearly two dozen projectiles were launched from Lebanon into Israel.

A Reuters video captured the moment these rockets were intercepted by Israel’s defense systems above Haifa early Friday morning.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) detailed that around 20 projectiles were detected following the sirens, which went off between 7:01 a.m. and 7:04 a.m. local time in the Haifa Bay and Western Galilee regions. Most of these were successfully neutralized by the defense systems, while the remainder landed in unpopulated areas.

Israel Police noted that fragments from the interceptions landed mainly in Kiryat Yam, located just north of Haifa, causing some property damage but no injuries were reported.

Additionally, at 7:23 a.m. local time, sirens in the Upper Galilee area signaled the crossing of “multiple projectiles” from Lebanon. The military confirmed that some were intercepted and others fell in open areas, though the full impact of this event remains uncertain.
