Israeli Drone Strike Kills Hezbollah Fighter, Warplanes Target Jezzine Mountain

Hezbollah fighter Mustafa Salman was killed in an Israeli drone strike while riding a motorbike in Qlaileh, a town in the Tyre district, according to Hezbollah and the National News Agency. Another individual was injured in the attack.

In a separate incident, Israeli airstrikes on the Toura mountain in Jezzine, located in southern Lebanon, resulted in the deaths of over 700 goats. A Syrian shepherd managed to escape unharmed. The National News Agency reported that three missiles were fired by Israeli warplanes, destroying a goat barn and the shepherd’s home.

These incidents follow Hezbollah’s announcement of its “largest” air operation, involving explosive drones targeting an Israeli military intelligence base in the Golan Heights.

The ongoing cross-border violence has led to at least 497 deaths in Lebanon, predominantly fighters but also 95 civilians, according to an AFP tally. On the Israeli side, at least 16 soldiers and 11 civilians have been reported killed.

Additionally, tens of thousands of residents have been displaced from border areas in both southern Lebanon and northern Israel.
