Israeli Army Pledges Commitment to Lebanon Ceasefire

The Israeli military is fully committed to upholding the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, with the 60-day period being described as a “gradual phase to ensure the elimination of Hezbollah’s threat,” according to Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Haggari on Monday.

Haggari emphasized that it is in Lebanon’s best interest to prevent Hezbollah from posing any security threats to Israel. He also stated that the Lebanese people must ensure that areas along the border with Israel remain free of weapons that could jeopardize Israel’s security.

Since the ceasefire began on Wednesday, Israel has faced accusations of violating the agreement more than 52 times, with some of these violations resulting in fatalities, including three airstrikes near Sidon.
