On Friday, an Israeli airstrike injured two individuals in the southern town of Baraashit, located approximately 10 kilometers from the border, as reported by MTV. The National News Agency also reported the destruction of a residence situated between the southern towns of al-Mansouri and Majdal Zoun due to another airstrike.
In addition, Israeli artillery launched two shells at the al-Mutran Hill in the Marjeyoun district’s Sarda area.
Later that day, according to Israeli sources, several missiles were launched from Lebanon towards Israel’s Shtula, coinciding with Hezbollah’s announcement of the loss of three of its fighters from the southern town of Blida.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for attacking Israeli forces near the al-Raheb post with artillery shells. Moreover, Al-Jazeera reported that rockets targeted the Israeli positions at al-Sammaqa in the occupied Kfarshouba Hills and the al-Radar post in the occupied Shebaa Farms.
The Israeli military also shelled the border towns of Mays al-Jabal and Houla.
Earlier, during dawn, the Israeli army used heavy-caliber machine guns to fire at the forests near the border towns of Ramia and Aita al-Shaab.
An overnight Israeli airstrike resulted in the destruction of a house in Majdal Zoun, causing minor injuries to the town’s inhabitants due to the scattering of glass shards and stones. Another airstrike targeted the town of Ramia, resulting in material damages.
Since an attack on October 7 by Hamas, a Palestinian group allied with Hezbollah, triggered a conflict with Israel, Hezbollah has consistently targeted Israeli positions across the border. In retaliation, Israeli forces have conducted strikes against Hezbollah, including targeted operations against its high-ranking officials.
Since the beginning of the clashes in October, at least 303 individuals in Lebanon, predominantly Hezbollah fighters including 50 civilians, have been killed. On the Israeli side, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of 10 soldiers and seven civilians, as per the Israeli military’s reports.
