Israel-Hezbollah Clashes: Latest Updates

Hezbollah announced on Saturday its forces had launched two Burkan rockets with heavy caliber at an assembly of Israeli soldiers on Cobra Hill in northern Israel, claiming to have achieved a “direct hit.”

Subsequently, the group reported targeting Israeli soldiers near the Dhayra military base, also claiming successful hits.

In retaliation, Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building in Blida, a town near the southern border, prompting emergency medical teams to rush to the scene. Additionally, the town of Kfarkela in the south received artillery fire from Israel.

Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated that, in response, Israeli aircraft targeted Hezbollah’s rocket launch sites and infrastructure on Blat mountain during the night. He added that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) also aimed at a Hezbollah observation station in Aita al-Shaab, and shelled the areas of Hanine and Marwahine to neutralize potential threats.

Since the onset of hostilities in October, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 276 individuals on the Lebanese side, including both Hezbollah militants and 44 civilians. Meanwhile, the Israeli side has seen the loss of 10 soldiers and six civilians.

The clashes have forced tens of thousands from their homes on both sides of the border. Israel has issued warnings that it may escalate its military actions against Hezbollah to ensure the safe return of its citizens.
