On Tuesday, Hezbollah launched an attack on a group of soldiers at the Hadb Yarin post. This event coincided with a statement from Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who indicated that Israeli forces were preparing to take action near the northern border shared with Lebanon.
Hezbollah openly acknowledged its role in a series of at least 12 assaults on Israeli military positions along the border, utilizing Falaq-1 and Burkan missiles, which are of Iranian origin. In response, the Israeli military executed air strikes targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Additionally, on Tuesday, Israeli artillery bombarded areas surrounding al-Naqoura, Dhaira, Yarin, al-Jebbayn, and Tayr Harfa.
Since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, there has been a consistent pattern of hostilities involving the Israeli army and Hezbollah along the Lebanese-Israeli border.
According to a count by AFP, over 200 individuals, predominantly Hezbollah members, have lost their lives in southern Lebanon due to Israeli military action since the onset of the conflict on October 7.
On the Israeli side, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of nine soldiers and six civilians, as confirmed by Israeli authorities.
