Israel-Hezbollah Border Clashes: Latest Updates

On Thursday morning, Israeli drones conducted airstrikes on a residence in the village of Kawkaba, located in the Hasbaya District. This was accompanied by artillery fire targeting the southern Lebanese border towns of Aitaroun, Blida, Mays el-Jabal, and the Marjaayoun valley. Later in the day, Israeli fighter jets carried out additional strikes on the outskirts of Rab Tlatine, al-Taybe, and al-Odaisseh.

This follows an incident on Wednesday where Hezbollah attacked five Israeli positions in northern Israel, and Hamas launched 20 missiles toward a military base near Israel’s northern coastline. This marked the first missile attack from Lebanon by the Palestinian militant group since the end of December.

The cross-border conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has seen a noticeable increase in intensity in recent days. On Tuesday, Israel executed its most severe attacks on a single target in southern Lebanon, focusing on a border valley with both airstrikes and artillery bombardment.

According to an AFP report, the ongoing violence in Lebanon over the past three months has resulted in over 190 deaths. This includes more than 140 Hezbollah combatants and over 20 civilians, with three journalists among the casualties.

Meanwhile, Israeli officials report the death of nine soldiers and six civilians in northern Israel due to the conflict.
