U.S. Central Command chief General Michael Kurilla recently met with Israeli army chief Herzi Halevi in Israel for a situational assessment, according to a statement from the Israeli army.
The discussions during Kurilla’s visit centered on “current threats,” particularly focusing on challenges posed by Lebanon and Iran in the northern region. The general also visited Israel’s Northern Command, near the Lebanon border, where he met with Northern Command chief Ori Gordin. During the visit, they conducted an assessment of the situation and Kurilla received an operational briefing that outlined Israel’s military plans concerning Lebanon.
