Israel boosts reserve brigades for Gaza operations

On Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced they are mobilizing around two reserve brigades for operations in Gaza following a strategic evaluation.

The IDF explained that this mobilization is necessary to sustain ongoing efforts and ensure readiness to protect the state of Israel and its citizens’ safety. The military did not provide additional details at this time.

This development occurs amidst rising tensions in the Middle East, sparked by Iran’s significant missile and drone assault on Israel. This aggressive action by Iran was in retaliation for what is believed to be an Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, earlier in the month.
