Two years after reaching the Champions League finals and a disappointing early exit last season in the round of 16 against Atlético Madrid, Inter Milan is eager to reclaim its former European glory.

However, the start of this season has been less than stellar for the Italian giants, securing only two wins in their first five league matches against Atalanta and Lecce, with additional draws and a significant 1-2 loss in the derby against AC Milan.
