Houthis Warn of Retaliation for US and UK Strikes

Yemen’s Houthi rebel group has vowed to respond to a series of airstrikes conducted overnight by the United States and the United Kingdom, according to a statement made by a Houthi spokesperson on X.

The spokesperson detailed that the airstrikes hit four different governorates in Yemen. Of the 18 strikes executed by the US and UK, 12 were aimed at the capital city of Sana’a, three at Hodeidah, two at Taiz, and one at Al Bayda.

These recent bombings on Monday are part of a series of attacks by the US military against the Houthi rebels, marking the eighth instance in just over 10 days, as reported in a joint statement by the US and UK. The statement also noted that a total of eight locations in Yemen were targeted in these strikes.
