Houthi Leader Vows Escalation in Response to Yemen Strikes

Mohammed Al Bukhaiti, a senior figure in the Houthi Political Council, declared the group’s intention to persist in its military activities until the Gaza blockade is ended. This stance is in direct response to recent airstrikes by the United States and the United Kingdom in Yemen. Al Bukhaiti strongly asserted the group’s resolve, stating, “We will meet escalation with escalation.”

In his response to the recent attacks, Al Bukhaiti emphasized on X:

“The US and UK coalition’s aerial assaults on various regions in Yemen won’t sway our stance. We stand firm in our commitment to continue our military actions against Israel until the heinous acts of genocide in Gaza cease and the blockade on its people is lifted, regardless of the sacrifices required of us.”

He further added, “Our battle is a just one, and our intervention to support the oppressed in Gaza is a testament to the existence of humanity within us. The American and British aggression towards Yemen will not be left unanswered, and we are prepared to intensify our response in the face of increased aggression.”
