Hezbollah stated that it launched dozens of Katyusha rockets at the Meron settlement and surrounding areas in Israel as a retaliation for strikes on Lebanese towns, specifically targeting civilian homes in Qawzah, Markaba, and Srebbine.
The group also reported that it carried out an attack using drones and guided missiles against northern Israel in response to cross-border Israeli strikes that resulted in the deaths of three people, including two Hezbollah members. These attacks targeted the al-Manara military command headquarters and a position of the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade.
The Israeli military confirmed that its Iron Dome air-defense system intercepted a suspicious aerial object from Lebanon in the Manara region in northern Israel. Following this, the Israeli forces retaliated by targeting the origins of several anti-tank missiles fired from Lebanon.
Further escalating the situation, an Israeli airstrike on a residence in the village of Srebbine reportedly injured 11 individuals, with one suffering serious injuries.
Additionally, earlier that day, Israeli fighter jets targeted a Hezbollah military installation in Qawzah, southern Lebanon, as stated by the Israeli army.
This ongoing exchange of fire at the Lebanon-Israel border has been consistent since the commencement of the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza, which began nearly seven months ago.
On the same day, Hezbollah issued statements mourning the loss of two fighters from the villages of Kfar Kila and Khiam, describing them as “martyred on the road to Jerusalem,” a term used by the group to denote members killed by Israeli forces.
