Hezbollah announced on Wednesday that it had carried out four missile strikes and used “appropriate weapons” to attack four Israeli military posts in northern Israel and the occupied Shebaa Farms.
Earlier in the day, Israeli warplanes conducted over 15 airstrikes on forests and farmland near the towns of Zibqin, al-Shaaitiyeh, al-Qlayleh, al-Hinniyeh, Majdal Zoun, and Tayr Harfa in the Tyre district. The attacks caused significant damage to crops, properties, and buildings, particularly in the groves of al-Qlayleh.
Hezbollah also confirmed the death of one of its fighters, Hani Ezzeddine, who came from the town of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr in the Tyre district.
Later, an airstrike hit a motorbike in the southern town of Mays al-Jabal, killing one person and injuring another. Additional airstrikes struck the outskirts of Yater, while artillery shelling targeted areas around Naqoura. Two Israeli explosive drones also hit a public park in the border town of Maroun al-Ras, causing material damage.
On Tuesday, Hezbollah launched suicide drones at an Israeli military base in Ami’ad, near Lake Tiberias, deep in northern Israel. This action was in retaliation for Israeli attacks on southern Lebanese towns and the assassination of a Hezbollah Radwan force commander in West Bekaa.
The ongoing cross-border conflict since October 8 has resulted in the deaths of around 617 people in Lebanon, including 138 civilians, with the rest being fighters. On the Israeli side, including in the annexed Golan Heights, at least 24 soldiers and 26 civilians have been killed.
The fighting has led to the displacement of tens of thousands of residents on both sides of the border. Israel has vowed to take action, whether through military means or diplomacy, to bring its citizens back.
