On Wednesday, Israeli artillery launched shelling attacks on several locations, including Ramia, Beit Leef, and the border towns of al-Labbouneh, al-Naqoura, Rmeish, Aita al-Shaab, Halta, and al-Mari. This action was in response to three rockets that had landed in Zarit and Shtula in the Israeli upper western Galilee. Additionally, Israel targeted the outskirts of Mays al-Jabal, Blida, Houla, Mhaibib, and Yaroun after several Israeli posts, including al-Assi, al-Bayyad, Brket Risha, Yiftah, al-Jerdah, and Dovev, were attacked from Lebanon.
Notably, the football pitch in the border town of Houla was struck by three missiles, and Israel fired shells that failed to detonate at a house and a car.
Hezbollah confirmed casualties among Israeli soldiers, stating that their fighters had targeted an Israeli infantry force near Shomera and another near Dovev. This action was in response to an Israeli attack on an ambulance in Lebanon that occurred on Sunday. An Israeli military spokesperson reported that two soldiers were wounded in the anti-tank missile attack on Dovev.
Previously, an Israeli drone had targeted two ambulances on their way to pick up casualties from overnight strikes in southern Lebanon, injuring four paramedics.
These hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah have been ongoing since October 7, with daily cross-border exchanges of fire. The situation along the border has escalated, particularly since Israel initiated a ground incursion into Gaza.
